Parallax 9/11

“The Silent Assassin” is inspired by true events. Clearly, all the events regarding 9/11 are well-documented, but I hope that my analysis will have added a little more to your understanding of events and I have also tried to stay on a neutral path when I brought in reference to the perpetrators, and the views of their sympathisers.

As for the story of “the Chapmans”, the names and venues have been changed, but all the events are as they were related to me by witnesses 20 years ago, or as they remain documented by Keith Chapman’s mother – who is still alive – and “baby Jack” – it was the latter’s urge to tell his father’s story which made me put pen to paper.

I had sat on this information for over 20 years, rarely mentioning any of it to anybody. I was asked during a podcast, when I was promoting my first book “Puddle Creatures” if I could talk about my legal career. I dealt with many interesting cases, but none more so than Keith Chapman’s case with it’s 9/11 connection.  I had remained in contact with baby Jack throughout his lifetime, and when I approached him to ask whether he would be comfortable if I talked about the case, he gave me his consent immediately. It wasn’t until this point that I looked more deeply at the story, and I felt that, if it was given the 9/11 history to give it more context, it could be of mass appeal – hence, Parallax9/11 was born. 

Part one, The Silent Assassin is a prelude. Part two will bring baby Jack’s life up to date, referencing his mother’s diaries, and culminating in ….well, you’ll have to wait for the most sensational, ironic twist at the end of Part two.
